Jazz for Hope 2011 $6.90 Attempting to record an entire album from beginning to end in ten hours is challenging however we hope you will enjoy this attempt to return to an old school approach of recording and performing where the heart the centre of attention for both performer and listener. This collection of songs is actually taken from the set list of the concert “Jazz for Hope 2011” to be held at the Hope United Church on July 9, 2011 and represents a snapshot of where we were at that time. Selections drawn from Musical Theatre and modern jazz (My favourite things) to pieces relevant to the recent passing of Seretse’s Father (Praise the name of Jesus, Kas Kas) the songs represent different characteristics of the three lead performers, Andrew Lawrence, Ian Hird and Seretse Small.
